Dr. Rosberg has over 39 years of experience treating the refractory mentally ill in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Dr. Rosberg is a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Rosberg has been a featured presenter at multiple national conferences including the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and the International Symposium for Psychotherapy and Schizophrenia. His current practice includes clinical direction and supervision throughout the ASC Treatment Group continuum of care, and providing expert testimony for mental health related forensic courts. Dr. Rosberg has consulted for mental health departments within 11 California counties, and provided input in the writing of a landmark bill addressing the provision of mental health services in California (AB1425) that was signed into law in 2002.
Dr. Brodnick earned degrees from California Coast University, Pepperdine University and California State University Northridge in the field of psychology. As a licensed marriage family therapist (MFT), Dr. Brodnick has over 37 years of experience working with individuals with chronic, persistent mental illness. A co-founder of the Anne Sippi Clinic, Dr. Brodnick has assisted many patients on their road to recovery through pioneer treatments in a community setting. Dr. Brodnick has lectured nationwide on the subject of treating refractory clients in the community and believes ASC patients are living proof that recovery is “alive and well.”
Mr. Damian, joined ASC Treatment Group in 2007, after a 20-year career in local hospitals. Mr. Damian has served as Psychiatric Service Manager, Service Director, and as Administrator of two, 65 bed hospitals in Bakersfield, California. Mr. Damian is a Kern County native, and a Graduate of Kern County schools, as are his parents and children. “Seeing the person first”, has been a career-long objective for Mr. Damian. To this day, he requires that he and his staff of nearly 100, “find a way to say yes” to the clients and residents of the Anne Sippi Clinic. Mr. Damian is a veteran of the Vietnam War and has been privileged to be married to his wife Mary Jane Damian for 40 years.
Mr. Petty acts as the Anne Sippi Clinics chief financial officer. Mr. Petty has more than thirty years of audit, tax and consulting experience. His role with Anne Sippi Clinics includes the implementation and monitoring of financial systems which help to ensure compliance with various contract provisions and the Company’s long-term financial success.
Alan Markie | M.D. Medical Director
ASC’s commitment to providing evidenced based best practice extends to advanced and practical pharmacotherapy algorithms. Our Medical Director brings extensive experience in treating the severe and persistent mental illnesses. Dr. Markie graduated from medical school in the former Soviet Union in 1985. He completed an Internship in Psychiatry at UCLA in 1993 and a 4-year residency in Psychiatry at UCLA in 1997. Dr. Markie has been practicing for the past 20 years in Los Angeles, being involved at many different levels of care for the severely mentally ill, including inpatient, outpatient, office-based practice, community-based programs, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Programs. Dr. Markie has held multiple Medical Directorships, including Olympia Medical Center, Century City Hospital, Brotman Medical Center, and Meadowbrook Manor IMD.
Leora Brodnick | Ph.D., PT
Dr. Brodnick received training in both psychology and nursing at the Long Beach Neuropsychiatric Institute, California Coast University and UCLA. A pioneer in the discovery that community living and rehabilitation lead to recovery, Dr. Brodnick was instrumental in the development of the Anne Sippi Clinics system of care. She has specialized in the treatment of severely mentally ill and refractory clients including those suffering from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and developmental disabilities. Dr. Brodnick’s passion is helping clients “unlock the person they were meant to be.” She and her recovery team are dedicated to this “process of rediscovering life” in both inpatient and community settings.
Ken Bagnis | MA, MFT
For more than 18 years, Mr. Bagnis has participated in developing a unique and accessible continuum of care to address the complex needs of adults with severe and persistent mental illness. As the Director of Treatment for the ASC Treatment Group, his goal is to provide a warm and creative environment that fosters recovery. His treatment philosophy is based on the premise that people change within the context of relationships. Through the lens of a strengths perspective, he describes, “I look for their abilities, hopes and dreams. I want to know about what they value and simply what makes them smile."
Mr. Bagnis is a graduate of Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. He was recently featured in Pepperdine University’s alumni magazine, which described him as “The light in the life of an otherwise marginalized group of society."
Ana Vincaprova | LVN. ASC-Riverside Ranch Nurse
Ana has been working with Anne Sippi Clinics since 2003, providing inspired assessment, medication review, case and dietary management, admissions and discharge planning, and physical healthcare management for our diverse population. In addition to holding a bachelor's degree in nutrition from Brazil/UNISINOS, Ana is a licensed LVN. Over the past 15 years Ana has been the driving force behind many of our nursing efforts and innovations. Ana works in partnership with our medical director in providing meaningful and holistic psychiatric nursing services. With her training in nutrition Ana has championed a disciplined approach, assisting our clients in navigating the complex services often required to enable their enduring recovery.
Diana Saldana | LVN. ASC-Commerce OP Nurse
Diana partners with our medical director and nurses to provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing services to clients involved in our Los Angeles outpatient treatment program. After spending more than a decade working with psychiatric populations, Diana specializes in working human-to-human within our treatment milieu and within the community. Diana truly knows what drives effective care and treatment, recognizing evidence-based practice is only possible when you connect with the people you're trying to help. Diana drives these services with consistent compassion and understanding.
Lynetta Hale | BS, LPT, CATC, Program Manager Outpatient Services
Lynetta is a Licensed Psychiatric Technician and a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor with nearly three decades experience working with psychiatric populations in multiple settings. Lynetta has supported the professional development of rehabilitation staff and facilitated cohesion in partnering with multiple agencies to provide intensive case management and rehabilitation services to our consumers. Lynetta believes that creatively helping people to find purpose, dignity, and healing in the midst of their suffering is her life’s mission. She recently presented at a national honor society convention on emerging care interventions. Lynetta graduated Summa Cum Lade and holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of La Verne.
Elana Moreno | ASC-Riverside Ranch Administrator, Director of Human Resources
Elana began her work with us in June 2006, as a part of a college internship working through outpatient and inpatient services. Fortunately, she then joined us full-time in case management and direct care services ultimately transitioning to human resources administration. Elana represents that rare team member who views every task equally. Her efforts in direct care, managerial services, administration and human resources have all been performed with focus and excellence. Having experienced nearly every facet of facilities operation, Elana blends her deep and varied skill set on a daily basis. By championing a "client first" ethos, our ranch operations are more effective, meaningful, therapeutic and engaging. Elana holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Cal State University Bakersfield.
Olga Recendez | Administrator ASC-Los Angeles
Olga has been with ASC – LA since 2008. Olga brings a wealth of life and practical experience to the position of administrator. Each and every day, Olga provides a deep and meaningful opportunity for our clients and staff. She oversees our administration, budgeting, offices and therapeutic programs. Olga brings meaning to the concept "hands-on” making sure that every client who receives services from us has a personal relationship with our administration. Olga blends her time between critical decision-making on an administrative level, and direct involvement with therapeutic programming. Olga has overseen improvements in our living environment, and the implementation of artistic and creative activities throughout the campus. Olga's combination of practical wisdom, administrative skill, "thinking outside of the box", compassion and energy serves to inspire us every day.
Alexander Gilbert | ASC Ventura County Program Manager
Alexander Gilbert, is happily married and the Father of 3 amazing boys. He has been The Program Manager for the ASC "Ventura County " Contract since its beginning in July, 2013. Alex brings to Anne Sippi Community Services 14 years of experience working with persons with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. While there is a finite number of clients for which he is responsible for, Alexander engages all clients/residents he meets with unwavering patience and compassion. His daily approach to the clients/residents enrolled in the ASC "programs", is a true inspiration to all. Alexander champions ASC's efforts to integrate clients into our Communities, through "hands on" experiences in and around the Los Angeles basin, and sees every day as a blessing. Alexander is a stanch San Francisco 49er fan of fans, and again, without wavering.
